How an Automatic CRM Can Build Client Records From Email

The Abmora Team6 min read

Why most CRMs go stale

A CRM is supposed to be the memory of your client relationships. In practice, it's often a list of names and email addresses attached to very little, because keeping it current means logging every interaction by hand, and nobody has time for that.

The irony is that the full history of every relationship already exists, in complete detail, in your inbox. Every request, every promise, every deadline is there. It's just not in a form you can see as a whole.

What "automatic" means here

An automatic CRM builds each client record from your email instead of asking you to type it in. When someone emails you, they get a record. As the correspondence continues, the record updates itself.

A useful record built this way holds a few things:

  • A brief: a short, current summary of the relationship, written from the mail.
  • A current focus and a suggested next action.
  • A health signal: on track, at risk, or gone quiet.
  • The open asks: what the client has requested and is still waiting on.
  • Who owes the next reply, and for how long.

Because all of this is derived from email, it stays current on its own. There's no separate step where you have to remember to update it.

It's not a replacement for every enterprise CRM

An automatic CRM built from email is not trying to be a heavyweight sales platform with custom pipelines and forecasting. It's a more automatic client-management system for businesses whose relationships genuinely run through email.

If that's your business, the value isn't more features. It's a client record that's actually accurate, because it maintains itself.

How Mora builds the record

Mora sorts everyone who emails you into clients, prospects, personal, and marketing, and builds a record for each. It writes an account brief from their mail, tracks the health of the relationship, lists the open asks with one tap to turn each into a task, and tells you whether you owe them a reply.

You can still add custom fields, notes, and aliases, and import or export by CSV. But the base record fills itself, which is the part that usually doesn't happen.

See what your business looks like when the inbox organizes itself.

Connect Gmail, give Mora a few minutes with your recent mail, then open Clients and Tasks. Request access and we'll set you up.
